IE’s digital team is excited to be heading to the Charity Comms Digital Transformation Conference 2015 on the 21st May. IE will be running a number of advice sessions on the use of mobile to help charities meet their objectives at the conference held at 110 Rochester Row London.

The Digital Transformation 2015 conference aims to inspire charities to improve their digital strategy. The conference featuring attendees from some of the UK’s top charities including Marie Curie, NSPCC and Girlguiding UK, will cover: what a healthy digital charity looks like, how to implement a digital strategy and the emerging digital marketing developments.

In the words of Charity Comms:

“If your charity isn’t operating effectively in the digital space, engaging with potential and existing supporters and beneficiaries, you can be sure one of your competitors will be ready to take them off your hands. So your charity will have to change. Digital can no longer be seen as a bolt on to existing offerings. Instead it needs to permeate every aspect of your organisation.”

Last year saw the number of people accessing the internet on mobile devices increase by 67% and IE will be at the conference discussing new innovative ways charities can use mobile connect, engage and support their audiences. IE Digital Consultant, Ed Wilkinson, will be running a number of advice sessions, focusing on app development, operations and volunteer management. The IE team will also be presenting case studies exploring everything from online mobile communities and quiz-based mobile apps to the use of mobile to automate elements of the member acquisition process.

IE's Digital Strategy Director, Oliver Westmancott, on a recent mobile app digital project we completed with CLIC Sargent:

“Building a mobile community platform was a completely natural thing for CLIC Sargent to be doing, and they recognised the importance (and limitations) of digital. Digital is not something that you do to people, it’s something you do with them. Digital isn’t your strategy, it’s a tool to help you deliver your strategy, helping you to do what you already do – better. It’s not the digital that’s interesting – it’s the people and the cause, and CLIC Sargent really understood this.”
